What you should do is;

1. After setting request method to POST, click to the ‘body’ tab.
2. Select form-data. At first line, you’ll see text boxes named key and value. Write ‘image’ to the key.
3. Then select ‘raw’ and paste your json file. Also just next to the binary choice, You’ll see ‘Text’ is clicked. Make it JSON.

To send an attachment to a REST service:

1. Open the Attachments panel and click Add Attachment.
2. Select the file you want to send. ReadyAPI will ask you if want to cache it in the request.
3. Open the Request editor and set the request media type as multipart/form-data or multipart/mixed .

Click on the settings icon in the top-right corner of the Postman interface next to the Environment dropdown and select Manage Environments . Next, click on the Import button at the bottom of the Manage Environments menu, and choose the Conduit Postman environment file created in the previous step.

To run a collection, open a collection and click Run on the overview tab. You can also click Runner at the bottom right of Postman and drag a collection over from Collections or History on the left.

The process of uploading an image can be broadly divided into two steps:

1. Select a File (user input): To enable the user to pick a file, the first step is to add the tag to our App component.
2. Send a request to the server: After storing the selected file (in the state), we are now required to send it to a server.

Raw data. You can use raw body data to send anything you can enter as text. Use the raw tab, and the type drop-down list to indicate the format of your data (Text, JavaScript, JSON, HTML, or XML) and Postman will enable syntax-highlighting as well as appending the relevant headers to your request.

In postman, set method type to POST. Then select Body -> form-data -> Enter your parameter name ( file according to your code) and on right side next to value column, there will be dropdown “text, file”, select File. choose your image file and post it.

When you initiate a collection run you will see an option to select a data file. Click Runner at bottom right of Postman. Select your collection, then click Select File next to Data on the right to select your data file. You will see an option to Preview the data in the file before starting the run.

I tried to use below approach but it is giving 404 as response. From the Postman GUI the only way to send a file is to add it as a form-data via File -> Select Files or Binary -> Select files.

If you want to execute such request via Newman you need to manually edit your collection.json file to add the full path to the file you’re trying to send on your local machine in request.body.formdata.src parameter.
