To set up slaves/nodes in Jenkins follow the steps given below.

1. Step 1 − Go to the Manage Jenkins section and scroll down to the section of Manage Nodes.

3. Step 3 − Give a name for the node, choose the Dumb slave option and click on Ok.
4. Step 4 − Enter the details of the node slave machine.

1. Select Launch Slave Agents via SSH for Launch Method.
2. Enter the hostname or IP address of your agent node in the Host field.
3. Click the Add button next to Credentials and select the Jenkins scope.
4. For the credential, set Kind to SSH username with private key.

The easiest way is to access Jenkins from the agent machine, go to the node page computer// and click on the Launch button. This downloads the file slave-agent. jnlp and runs it. 3) Once the agent is launched, you should see a popup in Windows.
