You’ll find your recorded videos, which are MP4 files, under the Videos folder in a subfolder called Captures. You’ll also find them in the Xbox app under the Game DVR menu, where you can trim a video and share it on Xbox live (if it’s a game).

The Game DVR feature on Windows 10 is enabled by default so that you can easily share the captured screen on popular social media network or store them locally to a PC. So, once you disable the feature, all the shortcuts will fail to respond.

Press Windows key + G to bring out the Game bar. You will be asked to confirm if the window is a game. Check the box next to Yes, this is a game to proceed. Now use the two recording buttons to start using GameDVR. You can use the Windows notification pop-up to access the clip you’ve just recorded.

In addition, it’s also probably due to the incorrect preferences in “Settings” of “Game DVR”. To fix this problem, you can open Xbox app and go to “Settings” > “Game DVR”, then enable “Record audio when I record game clips” under the menu of “Audio”. Another problem is that the Game DVR clips not showing up in output folder.
