Re-Enabling Windows Search

1. Find Windows Search in the list.
2. Right click and select Properties.
3. In the General tab, next to Startup type: select Automatic or another startup type.
4. Click Apply and restart your computer.

Open any folder on windows explorer

Double click Windows Search to open its properties.

Hit Start, type “services,” and then click the result. On the right-hand side of the “Services” window, find the “Windows Search” entry and double-click it. In the “Startup type” drop-down menu, select the “Disabled” option . This will prevent Windows Search from loading the next time you start your computer.

You can delete Startup Page from Settings in the Sidebar. Go to Settings in the Sidebar. Right-Click on a Startup Page you’d like to remove. Click Delete and Ok in a confirmation window.

Restart Press Windows key + X, select Control panel. Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons. Click on Troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel. Run the Windows Update troubleshooter. Restart the system and check if the issue is resolved.

Open up the “Indexing Options” window by hitting Start and typing “Indexing Options.” In the “Indexing Options” window, click the “Advanced” button. In the “Advanced Options” window, click the “Rebuild” button. After that, it’s just a matter of waiting while Windows rebuilds the index from scratch.
