How do I add a SSID to my laptop?

Manually enter your new SSID to connect devices to your network. To do so on your Windows laptop, open the Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center. Click “Set up a new connection or network.” Then click “Manually connect to a wireless network,” and enter your SSID and password.

The SSIDs can be added into your desired Network by clicking on Network name, then on WiFi SSID tab and then “New WiFi SSID” button. You can add as many SSIDs as you want in the Network, to a maximum of 8 SSIDs for each AP, and with one Captive portal for each AP. For example, SSID named SSID1.

To create an SSID:

1. Go to Wireless > SSIDs and click Create.
2. Type a name for your SSID.
3. Type a secure passphrase.
4. Select the frequency band according to your needs.
5. Click Next.
6. Click Multiple Access Points.
7. Select the desired APs and add them to the Assigned Access Points list.
8. Click Next.

Option 2: Add network

1. Open your device’s Settings app.
2. Tap Network & internet. Internet.
3. At the bottom of the list, tap Add network. You may need to enter the network name (SSID) and security details.
4. Tap Save.

To access the Wi-Fi settings in Windows 10, users can click the Start button, then Settings , and then Network & Internet . A menu of options will appear on the left. For PCs that rely on wireless network connections, a Wi-Fi entry will be included on the left list.

In the Configuration Manager console,go to the Assets and Compliance workspace,expand Compliance Settings,expand Company Resource Access,and select the Wi-Fi Profiles node.

To manage wireless settings, go into the Windows 10 settings menu and select Network and Internet. You can also right click the wireless icon in the action center or type Wi-Fi into Cortana . Once there you can turn Wi-Fi on or off and connect to local networks by clicking them…
