You can hide them by going into “Settings” > “Personalization” > “Taskbar” > “Turn system icons on or off”.

To change the taskbar transparency: Click the start button and the gear icon to open settings. In the window that appears, choose the Personalization option. Select the Colors tab. Toggle transparency effects on or off for the taskbar. When on, the taskbar is transparent (see-through). When off, the taskbar is opaque.

You can make the taskbar invisible. The start orb, your pinned icons and all opened programs remain visible. The only thing that is hidden is the taskbar. To achieve the invisible taskbar look, download the Invisible Taskbar theme and unzip the contents to C://Windows//Resources//Themes directory.

The default state is translucent, but you can change it to a totally translucent state by going into your notification tray and right-clicking on the TranslucentTB icon. If you set it to clear, it will transform your taskbar into a totally transparent one.
