How do I enable SCP?

SCP is enabled by default in the SFTP proxy adapter, using the property scp. enable=true. When this property is enabled, you can use SFTP and SCP, which also includes the ability to use dynamic (user ID) based routing. To disable SCP, set the SFTP proxy adapter property scp.

scp stands for Secure Copy Protocol. scp is a command line utility, meaning you will have to use Terminal (Mac) or Command Prompt (Windows).

The scp command issued from the system where /home/me/Desktop resides is followed by the userid for the account on the remote server. You then add a “:” followed by the directory path and file name on the remote server, e.g., /somedir/table. Then add a space and the location to which you want to copy the file.

Use the command which scp . It lets you know whether the command is available and it’s path as well. If scp is not available, nothing is returned.

The default value is 0x0 (Do not allow Secure Copy protocol). The value 0x1 allows the use of the Secure Copy Protocol. Note: szSFTPRoot must be set for SCP to work.

Select Environment> SFTPand enable Allow SCP fallback. Select SSH > Authentication, click Browse (…) in Private key fileand select the previously generated private key. Click OK. Click Save, enter a name for the connection, and click OK. In the WinSCP login window, select the connection name and click Login.
