Add a shared folder to your OneDrive

1. Sign in to OneDrive on your browser with your Microsoft personal account.
2. On the left navigation pane, under OneDrive, select Shared.
3. Locate the folder you want to add, select the circle in the folder’s tile, and then select Add to my OneDrive on the top menu.

Navigate to Microsoft 365 at IU , log in, and click OneDrive. Look under Shared Libraries on the left to see if the Shared Library appears. If it does, you can click on it, and then click the star in the top right to follow it. If it does not appear, click More libraries, and then Go to SharePoint Home.

In modern Windows versions, including Windows 10, the Desktop folder contents are stored in two locations. One is the “Common Desktop”, located in the folder C://Users//Public//Desktop. The other one is a special folder in the current user profile, %userprofile%//Desktop. Windows shows the contents of both folders in a single view.

Since the SkyDrive and OneDrive names are different, your system treats them differently and hence the 2 separate folders. This also is the reason for different data because some apps might still be set to store data in the older folder.
