Installing Virtualenv using pip3 Virtualenv is only installed on DreamHost servers for Python 2. If you’re working with Python 3, you must install virtualenv using pip3. pip3 is not installed on the server by default. You must first install a custom version of Python 3.

You can exit from the virtualenv using exit command, or by pressing Ctrl+d.

Usage

1. Activate a different environment (Virtualenv select)
2. Create a new environment (Virtualenv make)
3. Deactivate an environment (Virtualenv deactivate)

if you don’t have any hooks, or don’t even know what i’m talking about, just use “brief”. command which lists all existing virtualenv. Run workon with no argument to list available environments. If you are using virtualenv or Python 3’s built in venv the above answers might not work.
