What is Bginfo startup?

By placing BGInfo in your Startup folder, you can ensure that the system information being displayed is up to date each time you boot. Once you’ve settled on the information to be displayed, use the command-line option /timer:0 to update the display without showing the dialog box.

BGInfo is a simple utility program for Windows that automatically displays currently system status and important information about the computer directly on the desktop background. The program can display computer name, current IP address, service pack version, etc.

1. Download the latest BgInfo tool.
2. Create the BgInfo folder on the C drive.
3. Extract and cleanup the BgInfo.
4. Download the logon.
5. Extract and cleanup the LogonBgi.
6. Create the registry key (regkey) to AutoStart the BgInfo tool in combination with the logon.

To remove any information, select the entire row from the left pane and press Del key on the keyboard. Also, to change the position of the displayed information, you can click Position button from the right. From the opened box, choose the position where you want the information to be displayed.
