How do I copy the lock screen image in Windows 10?

These are the image files which Windows uses on the Lock screen. They have the current lock screen wallpaper along with those of past few days. We would have to copy them to a separate folder. Press Ctrl + A to select all the Files and then press Ctrl + C to copy all of them.

Just create a folder on your desktop called Pics and then open PowerShell by clicking on Start and typing in powershell. Open the Pics folder on your desktop and voila! All the images from the LocalState/Assets folder should be there.

Go to Settings > Personalization > Lock screen, and select Screen saver settings. In the Screen Saver Settings window, choose a screen saver from the drop-down list.

Go to Settings > Personalization > Lock screen. Under Background, select Picture or Slideshow to use your own picture(s) as the background for your lock screen.

Copy and paste the files into a new folder preferably something under This PC > Pictures > Spotlight as a permanent location (or under OneDrive so you can have them everywhere). Note: You will see a warning prompt when you go to copy the files, simply hit OK to the warning.

The Windows spotlight image should appear on the lock screen. If you don’t see the Windows spotlight image when you’re signing in, select the Start button, then select Settings > Personalization > Lock screen. Then make sure Show lock screen picture on the sign-in screen is turned on.

To change it, follow these steps:

1. Right-click your desktop and choose Personalize.
2. Select Picture from the Background drop-down list.
3. Click a new picture for the background.
4. Decide whether to fill, fit, stretch, tile, or center the picture.
5. Click the Save Changes button to save your new background.

To set new wallpaper for the home screen, obey these steps:

1. Long-press the home screen.
2. Choose the Set Wallpaper or Wallpapers command or icon.
3. Choose the wallpaper type.
4. If prompted, choose the wallpaper you want from the list.
5. Touch the Save, Set Wallpaper, or Apply button to confirm your selection.
